What is Carvacrol?
The most active ingredient in wild oregano is
carvacrol, a potent naturally occurring compound
which has remarkable effects against all types of
microbes such as bacteria, virus, fungus, and
parasites. Synthetic phenol, a potent antiseptic,
also known as carbolic acid, was for much of the
20th century the standard by which all other
antiseptics were measured. Yet the “killing action”
of naturally occurring carvacrol is superior to penol
– it is unmatched in its antimicrobial actions. For
example, in 1994, a scientific team at the National
Institute of Pediatrics in Mexico published research
showing that oregano had superior killing effects
on giardia, a protozoan creating distressing bowel
infections. Oregano tested superior even to
tinidazol, the drug commonly used to treat giardia
infections. CARVACROLl can range from as low
as 20% as the active ingredient in oil of oregano to
a natural high of 86%. Anything higher would have
to be chemically modifie 0d. Optimum carvacrol is
hand picked at the highest altitudes when the
flowers are first blooming then immediately sent to
be rendered by steam distillation. It takes 100 lbs
of oregano to produce one litre of oil of oregano.
PLEASE NOTE: the percentage in carvacrol
content can make a great difference in the overall
effectiveness of oil of oregano. OREGAHEMP
gives you the guarantee of 86% natural carvacrol
combined with Certified Organic Hemp Oil, the
best plant based oil on mother earth.
Why Hemp Seed Oil?
Hemp seed oil is the most perfectly balanced,
most unsaturated oil in the world. This delicious
green gold oil has an Essential Fatty Acid profile

required by the human body for proper cell
division, growth and maintenance. Hemp is the
most unsaturated oil available. With a 3:1 ratio
of Omega-6 to Omega-3 and also containing
2% Gamma Linoleic Acid(GLA), Hemp seed oil
provides balanced EFA nutrition in one source.
